Success Stories
“In 2006, the Tennessee Code was modified in a way that hampered Chattem’s ability to do business. We are very grateful to the Chamber for arranging a meeting with Sen. Bo Watson, who later introduced a bill which enabled us to more easily manufacture and sell our products in Tennessee.” – Bob Bosworth, Chattem

Over the 2010-2011 fiscal year, the Chamber advocated for several public policies that support member businesses and overall economic growth in Chattanooga. Some of those include:
- Support for successful tort reform legislation that will keep Tennessee economically competitive and make malpractice insurance more affordable.
- Support for successful legislation to expand student access to charter schools in Tennessee.
- Played an active role in revising Chattanooga’s stormwater maintenance agreement to make it much less onerous to property owners.
- Completed a comprehensive Public Policy Agenda.
