The Pearl of Promise Award

DESCRIPTION |
|
The Pearl of Promise will be presented to a senior female in high school who demonstrates a strong scholastic aptitude in science and math. The recipient must posses a defined career goal, be a positive influence among peers, and have strong leadership skills. The recipient will receive a $2500 scholarship. |
|
CRITERIA |
|
Recipients must meet each of the following criteria:
- Must be a senior planning to graduate from a Hamilton County public, private, or home-school in 2009.
- Must demonstrate a strong scholastic aptitude in math and science.
- Must excel in subjects or have interest in fields in which women have traditionally been underrepresented such as one of the following:
