Chattanooga, TN—A grand opening and ribbon cutting celebration marking a new Merle Norman Cosmetic Studio will be held on August 10.

The event, beginning at 9 a.m., will be held at the new studio at 5591 Highway 153, Suite 106. The studio is located between Bed Bath and Beyond and Target on Highway 153 North.

The new operation is the second Merle Norman studio owned and operated by Thyra and Paul Moffat. Mrs. Moffat operated the Hamilton Crossing Merle Norman Cosmetic Studio for 26 years. Mr. Moffat has been her business partner, handling the financials, for 14 years.

The couple will own and operate both studios.

The Highway 153 studio offers a full line of skin care and color products from Merle Norman Cosmetics Inc. Free makeovers and free facials are available at the new studio.

Headquartered in Los Angeles, Merle Norman is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year. The company develops, manufactures and distributes its own full line of skin care and color cosmetic products. These are sold through approximately 2,000 independently owned and operated Merle Norman Cosmetic Studios in the U.S. and Canada.

The Highway 153 studio is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on Sunday from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The grand opening ceremonies are being arranged by the member-investor services department of the Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce.
