CHATTANOOGA, Tennessee -- Tennessee Valley Federal Credit Union once again is making waves in the Tennessee Valley with its newest branch opening in Ooltewah on Monday, December 1, at 6007 Relocation Way near the Super Bi-Lo.
The public is invited to join TVFCU at a grand opening ribbon cutting ceremony on Wednesday, December 3 at 10:00 am, following the new Publix grocery store opening in Ooltewah. The ribbon, made of $1 bills, will be presented to The Samaritan Center. The grand opening celebration will continue all week with a free gift for everyone who walks through the branch doors. The new building features ample parking, four drive-thru lanes, and an open, interactive atmosphere. In addition, there are popular member perks, such as a lounge with free gourmet coffees, comfortable seating, online access to E-Services, and free use of their coin counting machine. “Come see what we’re all about, says Bonnie Acuff, Branch Manager. “Just look for our sign with the ‘waves’ off of Lee Highway and stop by.”
When you walk in the door, you immediately notice a difference as you are greeted with warm smiles and friendly faces. Gone are the traditional barriers such as teller lines and windows that separate the member from the teller. Instead, you are greeted by a Financial Consultant who walks with you to one of the round “dialogue towers.” These allow you to view the computer screen together while the transaction is being processed. “The Ooltewah community is going to love this new way of doing business as it takes advantage of the latest cash management technology allowing our financial consultants more freedom to focus on providing members with personal financial solutions that address individual needs,” said Blake Strickland, President/CEO. He went on to say that members have been requesting a branch in the Ooltewah community for many years and he is pleased that Tennessee Valley FCU has now been able to meet this need.
Tennessee Valley Federal Credit Union is the largest credit union in the Chattanooga area with 13 branches throughout the Tennessee Valley and over 84,000 members. Individuals who live, work, worship, volunteer or attend school in a 13-county community are eligible to join TVFCU. Businesses and other legal entities are also eligible for membership. The 13 counties are Hamilton, Bradley, Polk, McMinn, Rhea, Bledsoe, Sequatchie, Meigs, Grundy, Marion, Walker, Catoosa and Dade. The Ooltewah branch will be open Monday through Friday from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm. The drive-thru is open until 6:00 pm on Friday. They are also open on Saturdays from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm.
