JETRO Underwrites Mission to Japan for Businesses Interested in Investment

Chattanooga, Tennessee -- Automotive parts and technology businesses interested in investing in Japan are invited to take part in The Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) mission to Japan February 5-10, 2007.

JETRO will pay for participants’ round-trip airfare, accommodations and expenses for program-related travel in Japan.

JETRO provides information and support to American companies looking for successful entry and expansion in the Japanese market.

The program includes business and networking meetings with Japanese companies, as well as visits to offices, factories and R & D centers, where participants can gather firsthand information to help them explore suitable locations for their investment plans.

The program also includes seminars on Japanese markets and industries, as well as how to set up an office in Japan. Field trips to select regions of Japan to study the area’s local investment environment and regional business incentives will also be offered.

Applicants must be in a managerial position or higher executive level in a private company. To be eligible for the program the company must also have a plan to invest in Japan and is seeking locations or Japanese partners to start a business in Japan.
