"After Mr. Barlow’s presentation, attendees will engage in a discussion through which we hope to identify and consider initiatives for our community to pursue in order to prepare workers, employers and the community at large for the dynamics of a 21st Century economy."
Barlow is president of Creating the Future, Inc., a consulting firm headquartered in Michigan. He is a frequent speaker on the influences which will affect industry, organizational, professional and community settings. He has also testified before Congress on several occasions regarding workforce, transportation, travel and tourism issues.
Barlow’s professional experience includes executive positions in healthcare, business and higher education. Among his clients are the Federal Reserve Bank System, AT&T, Federal Express, Lockheed Martin, the U.S. Department of Labor and the U.S. Department of Education. Barlow holds a master’s degree in management from the University of Notre Dame.
Barlow will make his presentation during the morning session of the summit. He will present a "journey" through the uncharted territory of the 21st century, exploring how structural changes will affect wealth creation interests of workers, employers and communities.
