onvergys Corporation, a global leader in integrated billing, employee care, and customer care services, is currently recruiting for 700 new positions at its contact center in Chattanooga. The new employees are being added through the end of this year.

Convergys has been the major provider of customer care services to DIRECTV since it launched its digital television programming service nearly 12 years ago in 1994.

Convergys’ Chattanooga contact center, located in the Eastgate Town Center, began operations in 1997. The 68,000-square-foot facility operates 18 hours a day, 365 days a year.With the addition of new jobs at the center, Chattanooga employees will manage approximately 800,000 customer contacts a month.
