Red Bank Council Helps Raise over $14,000 for Community

The Chamber’s Red Bank Council helped raise over $14,000 for community projects during the 30th Annual Red Bank Jubilee May 8 and 9. "This money will be put directly back into our community in numerous ways," says Council President Linda Herrmann. "For example, we give a total of $2,500 to our five local schools in teacher scholarships through our Earning for Learning program. We also donate to the Red Bank Community Pool, one of many projects we support with funding or other assistance."

The festival included a parade, antique car show and homemade eats. "The Stratoblasters put on a terrific show," Hermann says. "And Play Dog Excellent entertained the crowds with a remarkable display of canine agility and obedience."

Hermann expressed appreciation to all the jubilee sponsors, Red Bank City employees and Red Bank Council members who donated many hours of hard work to make the event happen. "If anyone would like to take part in next year’s jubilee, contact me at Mr. Trophy at 423.875.9515," she says. "It’s a great way to get involved in the community and to have a lot of fun."
